Support a School

Found a Fossil is built around sharing the history we have in our backyard with the public. One of our most important outreach programs gives us the opportunity to talk with students (and future palaeontologists!) about the role that they can play in preserving our past.

We present these talks to schools throughout Australia, and have loved the opportunity to spend a large amount of time in rural and regional areas. Since Found a Fossil started, we’ve connected with over 6000 students across 374 schools. In 2026, we hope to offer these sessions to schools that aren’t normally able to afford programs like this without support.

With your help, we’ll be able to take the Found a Fossil Project further than ever before. These conversations are important both for providing education to students, and showing the pathways and careers in STEM that they may not know they can pursue.

While $1000 will sponsor a talk to an entire school, $500 will provide a custom session to a year group, and just $5 can support a single student to participate in these sessions. Any amount you can provide supports our mission and is greatly appreciated.
